A.S.D. SPARTA PUGILATO
Italy
Established in 2014, A.S.D. Sparta Pugilato aims to create a boxing gym in Rome, expanding its offerings to include Taekwondo and other combat sports. Noteworthy for hosting world champions as instructors, Sparta Pugilato is more than just a sports facility—it's a clear social project. Operating in an area bridging affluent neighborhoods in central-north Rome and the more populous suburbs in the west, Sparta actively engages youth and seniors daily. Addressing the intersection of these diverse worlds, the association emphasizes integrated educational programs, combining technical training with lessons on group dynamics, respect for opponents, and navigating adolescent challenges. Sparta is dedicated to inclusion, especially for young individuals at risk of social exclusion. Through initiatives like Erasmus+ Sport Small Collaborative "Puch," the association strives to enhance accessibility to sports for those at risk of poverty. As it concludes this project, Sparta is gearing up for "Just People," combating homophobic bullying and promoting gender equality in sports. This ongoing project seeks to showcase potential career opportunities in sports to association members, promoting social change alongside daily training activities.
ASOCIAÈšIA TINERILOR CU INITIATIVA CIVICA
Romania
ATIC is a highly active association within its community, working with children and young people from foster homes, impoverished families, the unemployed, and those facing other social challenges. Focused on the inclusion of disadvantaged youth through sports, ATIC is a proactive player in European projects. Despite operating in Galati, a provincial town distant from major urban centers, ATIC has successfully seized numerous opportunities, providing hundreds of European youths with unforgettable learning experiences. Through physical activity and recreational initiatives, ATIC supports community-driven efforts, fostering the integration of young people and adults, particularly from rural areas, into society. With a belief that physical activity leads to responsible engagement in social, cultural, and educational life, ATIC has substantial expertise in promoting equal opportunities and project monitoring within the European context.
YWCA UCDG
Italy
With a history dating back to 1855, Y.W.C.A. Italia is an institution that has evolved from its origins as a women's support movement to a multi-faceted organization with branches in Torino, Rome, and Torre Pellice (TO). Originally focused on supporting women, Y.W.C.A. Italia now extends its services to men, women, young students, and seniors. Operating as a safe haven for those facing economic difficulties and complex pasts, Y.W.C.A. Italia is particularly impactful in supporting women victims of violence. Beyond emergency housing assistance, Y.W.C.A. Italia promotes guidance programs through a team of professionals, including career advisors, coaches, psychologists, and social workers. The Rome branch boasts a beautiful gym, collaborating with local associations to offer yoga, fitness, pilates, and dance classes. Serving as a theater for performances, theater courses, art therapy, and training sessions, the gym is a hub for the community. Y.W.C.A. Italia remains true to its overarching goal: Empowering young women. Through participation in this project, the association aims to launch a new program supporting the empowerment of young women and fostering their active participation in community life.
